Ken and Sue grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where they met and attended high school together. After graduation, Ken went to trade school while Sue continued on to college, and not long after, they were married. They have now been married for over 40 years—something they are deeply grateful for.
Ken spent over 40 years working in the trucking industry as a mechanic, “turning a wrench,” while Sue dedicated many years to raising their three wonderful daughters. Along the way, she also drove a school bus and served in administrative roles at Timothy Christian Schools.
A few years ago, they made the decision to move to Hudsonville, Michigan. Today, both Ken and Sue work at West Side Christian School in Grand Rapids—Ken as a bus driver, and Sue as the Bus Coordinator (which means she’s also his boss!).
At Cedar, Ken serves as Chairman of the Education Committee and has a strong passion for equipping the saints with God’s Word. He especially enjoys leading adult Bible studies and is known for asking thoughtful questions that foster meaningful discussion and deeper learning.
One of their greatest joys in this season of life is their growing family. They have been blessed with five wonderful grandchildren, who bring them great joy.
